SkaMiDan's Aggressive Inline Skating Manuals & Slides Trick List

Your guide to manuals & slides in aggressive inline skating

Manuals, also known as wheelies, are tricks that require a very good sense of balance. You balance while rolling on only one or two wheels – either the front or the back. These tricks require good body control. The longer you hold a manual, the more impressive the trick looks – especially if you combine it with slides, spins, grinds, or other moves.

Slides are tricks in which you deliberately slide across a surface on your wheels. Depending on the type of slide, the surface conditions, and your approach technique, the look and difficulty vary considerably. Whether a stylish power slide, creative toe slide, or radical heel slide – each of these tricks presents a special challenge to your balance and mental control.

Slides and manuals are also excellent for combining different tricks with each other – a real eye-catcher, whether on the street or in the skatepark.

Whether you focus on precise manuals, smooth slides, or creative combinations – all these techniques improve your balance, body control, and understanding of complex trick combinations. Those who regularly work on manuals and slides develop a finer sense of body awareness, more flow, and can skate faster, more stylish lines.

The SkaMiDan Trick List – your training companion

This is exactly where our SkaMiDan trick list comes in: We have put together a comprehensive collection of manuals and slides for you – perfect for learning your first tricks or specifically expanding your existing repertoire.

The list is clearly structured: sorted alphabetically and additionally categorized by difficulty level. This way, you can find out in no time which tricks you already master – and which ones are waiting for you next.

Learn even better – with tutorials and media

For many tricks, you will find supplementary images, videos, and detailed tutorials that allow you to get started right away. You not only learn new tricks, but also discover the appropriate terminology – or vice versa: You know the name and immediately discover what is behind it.

The SkaMiDan Manuals & Slides Trick List is more than just a list – it is your personal companion on the path to more skills, style, and confidence when gliding, balancing, and combining your tricks and skate lines.

Difficulty

Fundamentals

The first manual is fairly easy to learn compared to the first slides. So don't worry if you find it easier to learn the basic manual instead of the first basic slides.

Manuals:
  • Duck Walk (Heel-Toe Manual)
We learn to skate and accelerate on only two wheels, while balancing with one skate only on the back wheel and with the other skate only on the front wheel.
Slides:
  • Lunge Slide (Lunge Stop)
We learn our first slide to come to a stop quickly and avoid other skaters.

Difficulty

Beginner

Beginner-level manuals are also much easier to learn than beginner-level slides.

However, if you can master one or two tricks from each category, you can not only brake out of any situation at the skatepark, but also pull off your first cool trick combinations and incorporate them into your lines.

Manuals:
  • Toe Manual
We learn to skate and accelerate on our front wheels.
  • Heel Manual
We learn to skate and accelerate on our back wheels.
  • One Foot
